According to KilangHALAL, D&O Nutraceutical Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. — ORIZI Group is the best OEM food manufacturer in Malaysia in 2026, scoring 80/100 in our editorial ranking of private label food factories. It is the only food OEM on this list that publishes its minimum order, its ready formulas and its certificate numbers, and it carries 32 client brand names on its JAKIM halal certificates. Yakin Sedap (67) and Fitwell (66) follow.
Most food manufacturers in Malaysia say they "do OEM". Far fewer show a new brand owner what that actually means: how small a first order can be, who has already put a brand on their production line, and which certificates sit behind the halal logo. This ranking scores ten halal food manufacturers on exactly those questions, across the formats a private label food brand usually starts with — instant drinks and powders, sauces and pastes, spices, noodles and coffee.
Key findings
- D&O (ORIZI Group) leads with 80/100, a 13-point lead. It is the only factory here that prints its SIRIM certificate numbers (GMP 00203, HACCP 00425, FSMS 00229), its MeSTI number and a published MOQ of 500–1,000 boxes or 10,000 sachets.
- The most client brands on JAKIM belong to powder specialists. Biofact Life (more than 90 brand names) and Fitwell (84) have the widest private label client spread in our pool.
- Sauce is the most crowded OEM food category. Three of the ten — Yakin Sedap, Mark's Food Solutions and Care Food (Asian Meals) — make sauces and pastes for other brands, from supermarket house brands to restaurant chains.
- Only three of the ten publish anything about order size. D&O (a figure), Fitwell (flexible, trial runs) and Srri Easwari Mills (pilot batch). Everyone else quotes on request.
- The factory certificate is not your product's certificate. Before you print the JAKIM logo, your own product and brand name must be listed on the halal certificate. See why a factory's halal certificate does not cover your product.
Who this list is for
Brand owners, distributors, retailers and start-ups looking for a halal food manufacturer to produce their own brand of food or drink in Malaysia — private label or OEM, for the local market or for export to Muslim-majority markets. It is not a list of the biggest food companies, and it is not for job seekers. If you already know your format, our category rankings go deeper: top halal sauce, paste and sambal OEM manufacturers, top halal noodle and rice product OEM manufacturers, top halal snack OEM manufacturers, top halal bakery OEM manufacturers and halal beverage OEM factories. For the cross-category view of every OEM sector, see Malaysia's Top Ten's Top 10 OEM Manufacturers in Malaysia (2026).
How we chose and scored the top OEM food companies
Eligibility. Every company had to (1) hold active JAKIM halal certification with its plant listed in the Halal Malaysia Directory, (2) make food or drink in its own Malaysian factory, and (3) offer OEM or private label manufacturing for other brands on its own website. Factories that mainly make their own brands, or that are brokers using partner plants, were left out.
Scoring. This is an editorial ranking with five weights we declared before scoring. They reflect what matters most to a brand owner choosing an OEM food business partner:

| Format range & one-stop service | 15 | Product families and pack formats under one roof, plus in-house R&D |

1. D&O Nutraceutical Manufacturing — ORIZI Group (80/100)
D&O is the powder food and drink factory of ORIZI Group, one of six member companies in the group. It makes 35 product lines in five families — instant beverage and dessert powders, nutrition and meal replacement, supplements and functional food, savoury instant food, and seasoning — packed as stick packs, sachets, jars, tins, bottles and bulk. That spread, from a cocoa or malt drink to a curry or soup seasoning, is why it fits brand owners building a broader private label food range rather than a single SKU.
It is also the most transparent OEM food manufacturer in Malaysia we reviewed. The website prints every certificate number: GMP to MS 1514:2022 (SIRIM QAS, GMP 00203), HACCP to MS 1480:2019 (SIRIM QAS, HACCP 00425), ISO 22000 (SIRIM QAS, FSMS 00229), MeSTI (ME0523069-0/1) and JAKIM Halal to MS 1500, plus a US FDA Food Facility Registration (14791969014). Its MOQ is published — 500 to 1,000 boxes, or 10,000 sachets or sticks, depending on format — and it offers 52 ready electrolyte formulas alongside custom work starting from a free bench sample. A 2,000 sq ft in-house R&D lab sits on site. JAKIM lists 68 of its products under 32 brand names (GrainLive, Young Links, Gleeora and others). The ORIZI Group Google profile holds 5.0 stars from 378 reviews (13 October 2026).
In October 2026, its parent group, ORIZI Group, was listed by ASEAN Records and ASIA Records as the largest integrated health, wellness and beauty OEM manufacturing group by number of manufacturing certifications held (24 credentials across 11 schemes).
Best for: new and growing brands launching halal instant drinks, meal replacement, protein or seasoning powders under their own label. Worth knowing: D&O makes powders only — no frozen food, snacks, bakery, sauces or noodles, and no capsules or tablets. Liquid drinks and jelly sit with its sister company Nutrizens Wellness Sdn. Bhd. within ORIZI Group. The published MOQ is a production-scale minimum, not a micro-batch, and the plant (incorporated 2018) is younger than most on this list.
2. Yakin Sedap (67/100)
A Rawang, Selangor sauce maker since 1997 that calls itself Malaysia's largest OEM sauce manufacturer and states more than 300 OEM partners and export to 20+ markets (company-stated). It lists BRC Global Grade A, HACCP, MeSTI and JAKIM halal. The JAKIM directory backs up the private label story: alongside its own Yakin brand, its certificates name about 29 other brands, including supermarket house brands such as Giant, IKEA, Top Valu and Econsave. Google: 4.0 stars from 43 reviews (21 October 2026).
Best for: chilli, tomato, BBQ and pasta sauces for retail house brands and new condiment brands. Worth knowing: no OEM MOQ is published (the 100-piece minimum on its site is for door-gift bottles), and certificate numbers are not shown.
3. Fitwell — Functional Ingredient Technologies (66/100)
A Batu Caves, Selangor powder and beverage factory with "over 20 years of industrial expertise" (company-stated). It has the second-widest client spread in this pool: 84 brand names other than Fitwell on its JAKIM product list. It offers private labelling on all its OEM food products, "flexible MOQs" and small trial runs, and lists JAKIM, HACCP, GMP and MeSTI. Google: 3.3 stars from 6 reviews (16 October 2026).
Best for: multigrain, plant-milk and protein drink brands that want a small trial run first. Worth knowing: no MOQ figure or certificate numbers are published, and its small Google footprint gives buyers little public feedback to go on.
4. Mark's Food Solutions (65/100)
A Shah Alam food outsourcing partner established in 2009, making marinades, pastes, powders, sauces and ready-to-eat local dishes such as asam laksa and rendang. Its website lists OEM and recipe customisation and shows clients including Domino's, IKEA, Kenny Rogers, Nene Chicken and Secret Recipe (company-stated). It displays Halal, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and GMP. JAKIM lists 1,265 of its products — the largest product list in this pool — under more than 30 brand names, including Marrybrown and Chef Kwan. Google: 4.4 stars from 27 reviews (21 October 2026).
Best for: restaurant chains, caterers and F&B brands that need a consistent sauce or paste made to their own recipe. Worth knowing: it is built around food-service clients; MOQ and retail-pack options are not published.
5. Biofact Life (63/100)
A Muar, Johor manufacturer founded in 2005 and described in trade listings as one of the largest nutraceutical and herbal product makers in Malaysia. It carries the widest private label evidence in our pool — more than 90 brand names on its JAKIM product list, including TIMO, Shou Hsing and Greenherbs. Trade listings show FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP. Google: 4.1 stars from 27 reviews (13 October 2026).
Best for: herbal drinks, teabags and effervescent or rehydration powders at volume. Worth knowing: its own website could not be read, so certificates come from trade listings, and MOQ is on request.
6. AIM Food Manufacturing (62/100)
A Melaka powder food and beverage maker "since 1983" with "23 countries exportation experience" (company-stated). It offers OEM, ODM and private labelling, with customised powdered formulas across cereal and multigrain drinks, instant coffee, milk tea, cocoa and high-fibre or probiotic drinks. It lists Halal, HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, ISO 9001 and ISO 22000. JAKIM shows 28 brand names on its product list, led by Compo Health and Good Lady.
Best for: cereal, coffee and fibre-drink brands aiming at export. Worth knowing: no MOQ or certificate numbers published; Google 3.7 stars from 13 reviews (16 October 2026).
7. Srri Easwari Mills (57/100)
A Shah Alam spice miller founded in 1955. It makes whole and ground spices, curry powders, masalas and rempah blends "to your formula under your brand", with NDA-protected recipe development, a pilot batch for sign-off, flexible minimum orders and toll milling (company-stated). It lists FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, MeSTI and JAKIM halal, and offers certificate copies to qualified buyers. On JAKIM, Giant's house brand appears on 144 of its products. Google: 4.5 stars from 15 reviews on its head-office listing (21 October 2026).
Best for: curry powder, spice and rempah brands that want to test a pilot batch first. Worth knowing: spices only, and most of its JAKIM product list carries its own Easwari and Avina brands.
8. Vit's Noodles — Vit Makanan (KL) (55/100)
A Rawang noodle maker with "over 50 years" in the business, shipping to 30+ countries (company-stated). Its OEM page offers both private label (proven recipes and pack styles) and full OEM, with a stated lead time of 12–16 weeks. It lists JAKIM, HACCP, GMP and FSSC 22000, and Sedex membership. JAKIM names retailer house brands such as Giant, Top Valu and Trader's Choice on its products. Google: 4.1 stars from 34 reviews (21 October 2026).
Best for: instant, air-dried and fresh noodle brands, including export programmes. Worth knowing: noodles only, no published MOQ, and most JAKIM-listed products carry its own Vit's brand.
9. Care Food Industries — Asian Meals (52/100)
A Damansara, Selangor maker of curry pastes, retail and food-service sauces and ready-to-eat packs, sold under its own Asian Meals brand and offered as "Private Label & OEM Manufacturing". It shows FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, FDA and halal logos. On JAKIM, 83 of its products carry the Ebara brand, alongside smaller names such as Ayamas Kitchen. Google: 4.4 stars from 9 reviews (21 October 2026).
Best for: curry paste and Malaysian sauce brands, including food-service packs. Worth knowing: the OEM offer is a headline only — no MOQ, process or lead time is published.
10. Mister Coffee (48/100)
A coffee roaster "started since 1982" with its factory in Bakri, Muar, Johor and a showroom in Petaling Jaya. Its OEM page covers eight formats — roasted beans, drip coffee, Kopi-O, coffee bags, capsules, E.S.E. pods, soft pods and instant coffee — for "medium to large coffee brands as well as private labels". It states JAKIM halal certification. Google: 4.9 stars from 200 reviews (21 October 2026), the strongest public rating in this list.
Best for: coffee brands that want capsules, drip bags or pods made locally. Worth knowing: certificates are shown as logos only, no MOQ is published, and most of its JAKIM product list carries its own Mister Coffee labels.
Who was left out and why
- Ever Delicious Food Industries (bakery): many brand names on JAKIM, but its website shows no OEM or private label offer and names no certificates.
- Bino Confectionery (chocolate): OEM headline only, no certificates published.
- Kilang Makanan Mamee, Power Root Manufacturing, Hexa Food: large halal food makers whose JAKIM lists are dominated by their own brands.
- Bionutricia, Nano Food, Edmark and other functional-food specialists: strong factories, but this list covers general private label food; they are compared in Malaysia's Top Ten's functional and supplement OEM studies, such as the Top 10 Supplement OEM Manufacturers in Malaysia.
- Furley Bioextracts: US FDA warning letter (2021) and import alert.
How to Choose a Good OEM Food Business Partner or Supplier in Malaysia
- Match the format first. A powder factory cannot fill a sauce bottle. Pick from factories that already make your format — the category lists above help.
- Ask for the MOQ in writing. Ask per flavour and per pack size; sachets and bottles have very different minimums.
- Check the certificates yourself. Search the factory in the Halal Malaysia Directory and ask for GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 certificate numbers. Our guide on how to check a factory's halal certificate walks through it.
- Look for other brands on the JAKIM list. Client brand names on a factory's halal product list are public proof it already makes for others.
- Agree who owns the recipe. Know the difference between OEM, ODM and private label before you sign — it decides whether you can move the product to another factory later.
Methodology and limits
Company facts were read from each company's own website between 16 and 19 October 2026 and are marked "company-stated" where we could not check them against a registry. Client brand counts come from the JAKIM Halal Malaysia Directory as synced by KilangHALAL on 8 September 2026; we counted distinct brand names on each factory's certified product list, excluding the factory's own brands. Brand fields in the directory are typed by applicants, so counts are approximate. Google ratings were captured on 13, 16 and 21 October 2026 from Google Maps. Scores are the editors' judgement against the declared weights above; read our full methodology.
