Selangor is Malaysia's biggest halal manufacturing state — 2,543 certified factories, nearly a third of the whole country. That is too many to vet one by one, so here is the shortcut: the 10 contract-manufacturing (OEM) category factories holding the most halal-certified products in JAKIM's records.

Our view: certified-product count is not a quality measure, but it is the most honest measure of experience with the certification process — a factory with 1,000 certified products has been through halal audits hundreds of times. For a new brand that wants its own halal certificate, that experience is borrowable.

  6. MARK'S FOOD SOLUTIONS SDN BHD — Shah Alam. 1229 certified products. Processed food solutions for brands and foodservice.
  7. TYSON FOODS (M) SDN BHD — Subang Jaya. 1074 certified products. The international name on the list — formerly Macfood Services; corporate scale, corporate process.
  8. CK INGREDIENT SDN BHD — Puchong. 1025 certified products. An ingredient supplier with over 1,000 certified products.
  9. TRANS STANDARD INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD — Ampang. 992 certified products. A multi-category contract manufacturer on KL's doorstep.
  10. ENGLISH HOTBREADS (SEL) SDN BHD — Cheras. 952 certified products. A commercial bakery with close to a thousand certified products.

How this list was built

Ordering follows the number of halal-certified products in our capture of JAKIM's Halal Directory (8 August 2026) — an objective figure verifiable on the official portal. Retailers and restaurant chains that hold product certificates but do not run contract manufacturing are excluded and named in the text. Certificates change: check each factory's current status on our certificate checker, and see the 90-day expiry report before signing a contract.
